HiMama became a Certified B Corporation in March 2018. B Corps are a new type of company that uses the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. Similar to fair-trade or organic certification, B Corp certification is awarded only after a rigourous third-party assessment by the non-profit B Lab that evaluates a company’s demonstration of social good, environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

The median annual salary for early childhood educators in Canada is $35,346; lower than dog walkers. 43% of American preschool teachers using HiMama are under the low income threshold defined by the US Department of Education.
