Start Your Day with Contactless Check-in
If you’re using HiMama at your center, you already know about Contactless Check-in! Launched in 2020, centers can choose to give parents the option to check in their children, mark them absent, and submit drop-off signatures, all from the free HiMama app on their phone. Parents can also add any notes for the day to give teachers the information they need.
Any check-ins, check-outs, or absences are automatically updated in your teacher and director dashboards, notifying you of classroom ratios and making attendance records a breeze. You’ll be able to act quickly when your center is overstaffed or understaffed, saving you money and helping you maintain state regulations.
NEW! Make Pickup Time a Breeze
At the end of the day, parents can mark their child “Ready for Pickup” right from the HiMama app. They can add their signature and hit Confirm, all without leaving the parking lot.
For teachers, there’s no need to keep a constant eye on the door! Safe Pickup allows teachers to stay focused on their children until a check-out notification is received. When that push notification arrives, teachers can prepare children to leave for the day based on who is ready for parental pickup.
Once teachers have safely ensured that the child has been returned to their parent, they can Confirm Check-out for the child and mark their day complete. We’ve carefully designed this procedure with safety as our top priority.

This seems like a wonderful feature, however, we have been hit hard by Covid and cannot afford to “add on” additional fees as most of our budget is going towards keeping our staff and children safe and healthy. We alrwad pay a large annual amount, so adding this feature as something we need to pay for is not helpful.
I would like to learn more about contactless attendance for drop off and pick up. Also how can I use HiMama to go virtual for my children?

This sounds like a great feature however the child has to walk out of our licensed center holding an adult’s hand. We cannot allow children to just walk out of the center while the parent sits in their car and my teacher can’t leave their classroom to walk the child out to their parent.
In Canada we need to insure that the children pass the screening in the morning. How do you incorporate the screening questionnaire, and ensure that parents are completing them each day for each child?
